About Jon

JMC construction was established in 2011 after years of working around residential construction. Owner, Jon McCullem, has worked in the industry since 1996.

Jon has built almost 200 houses since 2011. He has built in the city and in the country, on small lots and on acreage. He has built spec houses, custom houses, and houses designed for rentals.

Jon has built homes in the finest Columbia neighborhoods including: Old Hawthorne, The Gates, Copperstone, Creeks Edge, The Woodlands, Deerfield Ridge, Eastland Hills Estates, Heritage Village, The Vineyards, Village of Bearfield, Somerset Village, Brookside Square, Breckenridge Park, Oakland Hills, Kitty Hawk, Chapel Hill Meadows, etc…

Jon’s family has served the Columbia market for decades. His father built homes and sold real estate. One brother builds commercial buildings around Mid-Missouri and his other brother runs a housing exterior company. Jon has years of experience in general contracting, labor, concrete, trim, and interior finishes.

Jon was born and raised in Columbia. He graduated from Hickman High School and Mizzou. He earned his MBA at the University of Florida. Shortly afterwards, his family returned to their hometown – Columbia.

When Jon is not working, he is with his wife Tonya and can be found chasing their children: Hannah, Cole, Claire, Henry, & Brenleigh. In Jon’s spare time, his primary hobby is hunting.
